Our Staff

Phil and Michelle Gooch as owners and operators of Homestead Estate wish to provide residents with an opportunity to maintain their independence by giving them choices and control through resident directed care in a safe and secure environment.

The people who live at Homestead Estates are loved and served by a responsive & highly valued service team who desire the creation of relationships with residents and families. Staff are encouraged to become familiar with the daily pleasures of the residents and encourage those pleasures throughout the day. Staff are engaged with the residents during meal time. The staff not only prepare the home-cooked meal, but they dine with the residents as a family.

We offer the following positions:

Certified Nurse Aides who function as “Universal Workers”

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living
  • Preparing meals for and dining with residents
  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Resident-focused activities based on the resident’s interest
  • Positive communication with residents, families and vendors

Certified Medication Aides function as “Universal Workers”

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living
  • Administering medications
  • Preparing meals for and dining with residents
  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Resident-focused activities based on the resident’s interest
  • Positive communication with residents, families and vendors

Registered Nurse

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing nursing assessments of residents
  • Screening potential residents
  • Communicating with physicians and pharmacies.
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living.
  • Administering medications and treatment as needed.
  • Overseeing CNA and CMA’s and delegating duties as appropriate.

All employees function as UNIVERSAL WORKERS.  CNA & CMA provide hands on care assistance with ADLs, engage with residents to create meaningful relationships to carry on the memories of each residents. Staff members also carryout the daily functions of the home including meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping.   
  • Cindy has a background in ICU and ER nursing but loves the elderly and sees that the medical concerns are conveyed to the providers and oversees the care giving by the staff.

  • Fantasia CMA, caring and compassionate with the residents. She is currently in the Nursing program at SCCC.

  • LaSherica, has worked at Homestead Estates since we accepted our first resident. She is compassionate and cares for the residents wholeheartedly. The residents enjoy visits from her boys as well.

  • Amanda is currently an LPN who is finishing her last semester of the the RN program at SCCC. She brings a keen awareness of resident well being to our team.

  • Kinze plays an important part of the team at Homestead Estates. She has strong cooking skills as well as a sense of team when providing care for the residents.
